Policies & Guidelines
Clear rules for a safer referral community.
1. Terms of Service and acceptable use
Users must provide accurate information, use the platform lawfully, respect others, and not impersonate employees, employers, recruiters, or candidates. Refferal Hub may remove content or restrict accounts for suspected or confirmed abuse, subject to review and applicable law.
2. Employee verification
- Employee registration must include company name, company office address, current position, and professional experience.
- Personal email is permitted. Official company email is optional where an employer does not permit sharing it.
- Employment verification remains mandatory: company email verification where available, or confidential manual review using employee ID proof or last month's salary slip.
- Only approved employees may post opportunities. A company name or address alone is not proof of employment.
- Verification documents must be restricted to authorized reviewers, protected securely, and deleted according to a documented retention policy.
3. Job posting and referral rules
Employees must post genuine, current opportunities they have a legitimate basis to share. They must not invent job openings, referral bonuses, or guaranteed outcomes. Referrals do not guarantee an interview, offer, or employment. Bonus information should be shared only when reasonably confirmed and must not misrepresent company policy.
4. Anti-scam, anti-fraud and anti-harassment
Fake jobs, impersonation, cheating, harassment, threats, fraudulent referral promises, document misuse, and suspicious payment demands are prohibited. Users may report suspicious activity. Reports may be investigated; listings may be removed and accounts restricted or terminated when warranted. Where appropriate, matters may be referred to competent authorities in accordance with applicable Indian law.
5. Personal information safety
Never share OTPs, passwords, PF/UAN or EPF details, bank details, or unnecessary personal documents with other users. Provide only information explicitly required for a stated platform process. Employee ID proof or last month's salary slip may be requested only for designated employment verification. Do not send documents through personal chats, suspicious links, or unverified addresses.
6. Privacy and contact details
- Employee phone numbers must never be publicly displayed or shared with jobseekers.
- Personal and official email addresses must remain private and must not appear on public job posts or profiles.
- Do not use platform information for spam, harassment, unsolicited marketing, or any unauthorized purpose.
- Collect only necessary data, limit access by role, protect data in transit and at rest, and document retention and deletion practices.
7. Resume and applicant data
Resumes and application details should be visible only to the jobseeker, the relevant employee for the specific opportunity, and authorized administrators when necessary. In the live app, employees will receive dashboard access plus an email notification; the email should not expose the resume as a public link. Jobseekers should be able to update or withdraw applications where feasible and request deletion subject to legal/security retention needs.
8. Grievance redressal
Users can report fake jobs, scams, harassment, payment demands, privacy violations, and other grievances through the grievance form. The live service should provide a complaint reference number, private status tracking, acknowledgement, and escalation route. Complaints and evidence must be restricted to authorized reviewers, with an audit trail and safeguards against retaliation. The designated grievance contact and response timelines must be published after legal review.
9. Account security, deletion and data retention
Users should use strong, unique passwords and never disclose credentials or OTPs. The live platform should offer account-deletion requests, explain what data may be retained for legal or security reasons, and securely delete data when no longer needed and legally permitted.
10. Disclaimer and enforcement
Refferal Hub connects jobseekers and employees; it does not itself guarantee the authenticity of every employer's hiring outcome, a referral, an interview, or a job offer. Users should verify opportunities independently. Violations may lead to warnings, content removal, suspension, termination, or referral to relevant authorities where warranted and consistent with applicable law.
